I am a sophomore majoring in Green science, department of materials and life sciences, faculty of science and technology(FST) student with an emphasis on chemistry. I am honored and delighted to be a recipient of the Sophia University Benefactors’ (Frank & Jane Scolinos) Scholarships 2019, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support to students who need it most. After completing undergraduate, I plan to study masters with major in chemistry. As the population of world grows, the needs of population get bigger and there are so many countries with people living under poverty line who cannot even afford to have a meal in day. People are suffering from various kinds of diseases around the world, many with no cures. This made me think about how people with limited resources and supplements could afford the medical treatments or expensive medicines like cancer. Therefore, I am inclined towards studying and researching in medicinal chemistry to try to discover effective and inexpensive medicines and cures for the betterment of world.
