First of all, I would like to show my sincere gratitude to Sophia University for not only giving me the opportunity to study here as a regular student but also for providing so many scholarships for us to apply for. I feel deeply grateful and honored for being accepted as one of the recipients of the Tokushika Scholarship (篤志家奨学金).

My name is Hu, Yingfei (コ エイヒ), a 24-year-old girl from Hunan, China, who is a second-year student of the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies. As Known to almost all people who know me, I am recognized as an independent,self-motivated,optimistic, ambitious, diligent and thrifty person who has many hobbies and loves studying. My family is not wealthy so that I have been supporting myself by winning scholarships and doing part-time jobs since I was a freshman. Moreover, I have been doing three part-time jobs since the second semester of my graduate program. However, I am still a straight-A student no matter how busy I am with several part-time jobs because studying is always of great significance for me.

In the following final semester, I will concentrate more on my studies with the scholarship. For example, I will use the scholarship to cover around one-third of my monthly living expenses of the following five months so as to save time from too many part-time jobs for studies. My main target for this two-month spring vacation is to finish analyzing the data (1008 usable responses) I collected during last September and to write a middle-level article and get it published. After that, I will focus on my thesis and try to write an excellent one in two months and then prepare for going on my Ph.D.program. One of my important dreams is to make some contributions to the academia and I am working hard at it.
